Faith Talk:
Faith-Talk is a way for you to meaningfully engage with your children about the materiel they're learning at CREW on Sunday mornings. This is designed for you to set aside time each week to read, discuss, and pray as a family.

Discuss:
As Thanksgiving is this week, this is a prefect opportunity to talk with your kids about thankfulness. Take some time and ask your kids what you all are thankful for. You could even ask in categories: Who are some people you're thankful for? What objects are you grateful for? What are some good things that happened to you this year? you as the parent/guardian should answer these questions as well! After you discuss all the things you are thankful for, read the section below aloud.

Read:
There's a verse in the Bible, James 1:17, that  says "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." Remember that all of the things we are thankful for come from God. Everything good comes from God! Thanksgiving is a time when we can thank God for all of the good things He provides for us: food, clothing, a place to live. We can also thank God for all of the people He put in our lives: family, friends, teachers, and especially our church. We can thank God for all of the fun and extra things that He gives us, not because we need it, but just because He loves us: toys, movies and shows, funny things that happen, and anything else that makes you feel happy. And we should thank God most for Jesus, who died on the cross and rose again so that we can have life in Him. It's easy to thank God for all the things He gives and forget to be thankful for God Himself. So let's to take some time in prayer to thank God for being our Good Father and providing for us.

Pray:
Take some time to thank God for all of the things you talked about. Kids and adults should pray!

INVEST:

INVEST is a quarterly lunch for parents where we will explore how to wisely invest spiritually in our kids through small group discussions and mentorship.

We will tackle contemporary issues such as technology, materialism, busyness, and pornography. We will also learn practical discipleship methods like how to have a family devotion, how to pray with your kids, and how to study the Bible.

Each quarter will focus on a particular topic that we discuss over (free) lunch in small group settings. Parents will get the opportunity to share struggles, confess sin, encourage one another in the ways that God is working, and pray together.

Family Investment Mentors are seasoned parents who will provide mentorship and support to parents who are in the midst of the battle. They will guide our quarterly discussions and be available to talk and pray with you throughout the year.
