Getting Through a Busy Season of Life

Getting Through a Busy Season of Life

Sometimes life doesn’t give us a chance to slow down. There are seasons when the calendar is full, responsibilities keep piling up, and it feels like everyone needs something from us. We may find ourselves running from one thing to the next, trying to keep everything together while quietly wondering, “How much longer can I keep doing this?”

The truth is, God never asked us to carry everything by ourselves.

Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Notice that Jesus doesn’t say, “Come to me when you have everything figured out.” He says, come when you are weary. Come when you are overwhelmed. Come when your list is still unfinished and you don't know how you're going to get everything done.

A busy season doesn't mean God is absent. Sometimes, His presence is most evident when we intentionally pause long enough to recognize Him in the middle of the chaos.

You don't have to accomplish everything today. You don't have to say yes to everything. You don't have to be everything for everyone. Give yourself permission to rest, to set boundaries, to ask for help, and to trust God with what you cannot control.

God will give you the strength for today—not necessarily for everything tomorrow.

So take today one step at a time. Do what God has placed in front of you, release what isn't yours to carry, and trust that His grace will meet you exactly where you are.

Prayer:
Lord, I am tired. There is so much happening around me, and sometimes I feel like I can't keep up. Help me remember that I don't have to carry everything alone. Give me wisdom to know what needs my attention, courage to say no when necessary, and peace when things feel overwhelming. Help me slow down enough to notice Your presence and trust You with the things I cannot control. Give me strength for today and remind me that Your grace is sufficient. Amen.

Remember: You don't have to survive the whole season today. Just take the next step with God.
