Mother's Day Devotional: A Legacy of Love
Scripture: Proverbs 31:28
“Her children arise and call her blessed…”
Motherhood comes in many forms, but at its heart is the beautiful calling to love, nurture, encourage, and sacrifice for others. Often, the work of a mother goes unseen—late nights, quiet prayers, endless giving, and the daily pouring out of herself for those she loves.
Yet God sees every act of faithfulness.
A mother’s influence is powerful not because she is perfect, but because she loves faithfully through the ordinary moments of life. The comforting words, the prayers whispered over children, the strength shown during difficult seasons—these become part of a lasting legacy.
Mother’s Day can also bring mixed emotions. For some, it is joyful. For others, it may carry grief, longing, loss, or heartache. Whatever this day holds for you, know that God is near. He is the One who comforts, strengthens, and reminds us that we are deeply loved.
Today we honor the mothers, grandmothers, spiritual mothers, mentors, and women of faith who reflect God’s compassion and care to those around them.

Lord, thank You for the women who love, serve, nurture, and encourage others so faithfully. Strengthen mothers who are weary, comfort those who are grieving, and bless every woman who reflects Your love to the people around her. Help us to honor and appreciate them not only today, but every day. Amen.
