God Will Uphold by Bart Bartosh
Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
The last four years have brought about exciting changes in my life. I purchased my first house, I got married, and started a new career. As exciting as all of these changes were, I always felt like I was in a position to handle all of them comfortably. I had very few moments, if any, where I felt unsure or distressed about how any of these things would pan out.
2023, however, has started off with a bang and has given me a whole new plate of responsibilities both professionally and personally, and for the first time in my life I experienced that overwhelming feeling that I may not be able to handle everything. Anxiety hit me in a way that I wasn’t prepared for. All of a sudden, life is not so comfortable anymore.
Isaiah 41:10 is the verse that reassures me that no matter the situation in front of me, God is always behind me, lifting me up, strengthening me, and making sure that I am putting one foot in front of the other and as long as I put my faith and trust in Him, I can always count on him to uphold me with his righteous right hand.
God, thank you for walking beside us in this life. I pray that you continue to grant us strength and endurance in our moments of weakness. Amen
