Rely On Jesus by Kian Ling & Bella Krohn

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:8

As we go through changes with school, sports, friends, etc. we need to remember to always rely on Jesus throughout these times. This can be a difficult thing because we have become comfortable where we are at. For example, we have to go to school instead of hanging out with friends all day or we have to get back into a routine of waking up early and going to bed at a good time. Let's face it, change is hard.

Many times during change we can forget to put all of our worries on Jesus which can cause stress and anxiety. Sometimes we worry more about school and friends more than we should. With getting back into a busy schedule, we might forget “Jesus Time” or find what we think are better things to do.

So what this passage means to us is that Jesus is steadfast and faithful. No matter how chaotic life may seem, we can use this passage to calm our minds. It can be a reminder to find time for Jesus and to focus on him when we begin to feel stressed. It can also be a reminder to study the Bible or to spend more time in prayer.

Hebrews 13:8 is just one example of how we can be at peace. How well do you deal with change? Do you find comfort knowing that Jesus is the same and cares for you everyday?

Dear Lord, I pray that you watch over all the students and teachers going back to school, and help them lean on you. And we pray that you can continue to be the foundation in our day to day life and comfort us as we all deal with change. Amen.
