Forgiveness: Mike Loosbrock
Since my study of "Forgive One Another" (Ephesians 4:32) I have been thinking
about people in my life that I need to forgive. My first thought was that they
wronged me, and they were the ones who needed to take the first step. As I
began to pray about this, God convinced me that I needed to take the first steps
to forgive these individuals. He led me to realize that I needed to forgive them
through prayer [admitting to God that I forgive said individuals] then to meet
with them and tell them that I have forgiven them. I have also learned that
some people do not care that you have forgiven them; sometimes forgiving
someone is [not for the sake of the person you are forgiving, but] for your own
healing. If we are to live life like Christ did, we will strive to follow His example
and forgive one another.
"Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away
from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you"- Ephesians 4:31 & 32
